Anyone on here using the SL stock carry strap. I use the S007 stock carry strap and unless I am told otherwise I'm planning to use the stock SL one too.........

Will find out on Wednesday :)

The provided SL neck strap is fine, if not the most elegant looking thing in the world. I've come to the conclusion that I prefer to use the SL with just a wrist leash, however; I find a neck strap on this camera is always in my way.

The standard strap is okay.  The Tie Her Up is better (I have a red Rock 'n' Roll).  I also have one of Harry Benz's brogue straps, but haven't used it yet.

What I like about the Rock 'n' Roll is that it's wide, soft and slightly stretchy.  I can have the strap across my chest, with SL hanging down the small of my back, in comfort all day.  When carrying, I wrap the strap around my wrist, and can then carry the camera in my hand securely.

I never found the standard strap quite so comfortable.  Also, the bright red strap looks rather good, I think (accumulating straps is cheaper than changing systems and lenses ...)

Cheers

John

I carry the SL across my chest, hanging at my hip most of the time. I found that the rubbery part of the strap got stuck when I lifted the camera to shoot. I use the Peak Design leash now, very smooth and also easy to use in different modes.

Harry Benz's strap is really ideal for the SL. First, the water buffalo strap sits securely on the shoulder. Next, because of its give, it really can work wrapped around the wrist. Finally, it is really attractive.

The strap it comes with is fine, but is hard to wrap around the wrist because of the wide pad at the apex. Harry's strap is ideal.

I am curious which wrist leash you are using. Is it off the camera strap clip or the tripod plate?

Thanks.

The stock strap is fine, maybe even more than fine. Of course there is a growing number of options to buy expensive and potentially better straps. For every strap there will always be at least one user/friend/family member/reseller willing to swear that it is the best thing since sliced bread and more than worth the money. They may even be right. But the stock strap is just fine - especially if you have other things to spend your money on.

I have a similar, same guy in Cyprus, mine is flat leather in black.

And I don't have a handsome portrait like tours.

Bill

I wanted mine to be low key so that it didn't take the beauty of me away from the camera :)

Yep, got it.

Just checked my order, mine is 'Thin and Classy SL Strap" official name.

Happy with that name hahahahaha
