SonomaBear Posted December 6, 2016 Share #1 Posted December 6, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm planning on going to the SL and carry a TL 2nd body. Would like to utilize my Canon EF lens collection while building a Leica collection. I hear good things about the Canon adapter for the SL. Will it also function well on the TL? My 70~200 2.8 becomes a 112~320 2.8!

SonomaBear Posted December 6, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted December 6, 2016 I looked at the B&H site and found that it should work on the T/TL: Would this adapter work on a Leica T? I know the mount is the same, but would the auto features work when mounting a Canon EF lens to it? 0Yes, this is compatible with the Leica T. Autofocus is compatible in AF-S Mode. Call Heather and ask her how she managed to make it work... :-) Check here as well ( "things you should know" section ) http://leicarumors.com/2016/10/08/novoflex-canon-eos-ef-lens-to-leica-sl-typ-601-af-adapter-review.aspx/

The firmware for the adapter will be embedded into the SL firmware (according to their manual) It might be that the latest T firmware 1.6 enables this adapter to work. However even if it does, it is considerably slower using an SL with EOS lenses compared to native Leica lenses. I would expect it to be even worse on a T with a slower processor.
