I own an M10 and have no problems whatsoever with C1, on the contrary, beautiful results, perhaps above 6400ISO I prefer CameraRaw sometimes. So I rather fear an explicit support for the M10; I'd rather not change a winning team. The actual profile now is 'DNG neutral'

Do you see the thumbnails on the DNG's in the C1 import window, which is what others have been complaining about when they have had their M10 set to DNG only. Sandy McGuffin explained why it was happening because of a weird coding Leica had added to the M10 DNG's but I am afraid his explanation was above my pay grade   . It may have been cured with a Leica FW upgrade, which altered their formatting of their DNG's.

Yes the thumbnails for import are now ok with C1 10.1. It wasn't cured by a new firmware from Leica @February 21, but only now with c1's update to 10.1.

As some have said, I've also given up on Capture One. I'm currently up-to-date on version on 10.0.2, and it's still unstable and slow. My Mac is up-to-date as well, on OS version 10.12.4. Capture One has crashed too often for me, and I've had to spend too much time, several times, restoring the catalogue from a Time Machine backup drive. 

 

I understand now; it's not designed for handling a library of images the way Aperture was or Lightroom is. What I used to think was relevant about Capture One is more flexibly obtained by using a combination of Lightroom and Photoshop. Additionally, with Lightroom, I can more reliably and more quickly manage my collection of images. With Photoshop, I can make better adjustments to images. The way I used Capture One seemed to place it between these two capabilities, and with experience, found it wanting and not worth the difficulties it created.

Just one point if you are finding any of the photo processing softwares unstable on 10.12.x, there is a bug on using these with Sierra OS. Apple is aware of it and working on a solution. It happens if you have altered the size of the cursor in Accessibility Preferences (in System Preferences). A lot of people using larger and/or  high resolution screens had done this, as otherwise the cursor is very small and hard to see. The two programs that seem particularly prone to this problem are Photoshop and Capture One. Resetting the cursor to standard size cures the problem for the moment until such time as Apple locate and sort the bug. I have also had to reduce the resolution of my 15.4" MacBook Pro screen from the standard 1680 x 1050 to 1440 x 900, as the cursor set at standard size was next to invisible at the standard resolution and print was tiny as well.

Thanks Wilson; I hadn't heard of this, and I'll check the settings on my desktop and laptop. I do have the cursor set to enlarge when I shake the mouse, so that when it is small and I can't locate it, moving the mouse quickly will cause it temporarily show up. I'll play with the settings, and see if I can make a difference to the functioning of these applications. 

 

Pity you've had to reduce the size of your screen resolution. Hope a fix will be ready soon.

Thanks for the shaking tip. I disabled the option to be able to see the mouse enlarged; however it is simple to change the cursor size in that same preference panel for the screen.

If you change the cursor size from standard in Sierra OS 10.12.x, it is likely that you will have problems with Photoshop CC 2015 or 2017 and Capture One. The usual symptom is that when you open either one of these programs, the cursor disappears for up to one minute. They also have a propensity to crash or freeze. As I explained in my post, until such time as Apple sort this bug, it is best to leave the cursor at the standard size in Accessibility Preferences.

+1 for Capture One Pro v11 for processing my FujiX and Leica RAW files. I gave up on Lightroom 2 years ago after being frustrated with the image quality from my Fuji X cameras. Capture One Pro was an immediate quality "upgrade".

I would use Sessions and then use Media Pro or PhotoMechanic for catalog. I find it is much faster than LR, in showing previews, zooming in on details, etc. I never tried to build a Catalog with lots of photos, only Sessions with 200-1,500 photos, and that works without any slowness or crashes.

On my Mac Mini, I have around 18,000+ DNG and RAW images on various sessions on C1 with no problems. There are currently problems on C1 if you are using a Beta version of Mojave but that is what betas are for. Both Apple and Phase One are now aware of the customise menu bar problem.
