R3dback Posted November 23, 2016 Share #1 Posted November 23, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just got my first Leica m8. It is a used one, so I reset the camera as soon as I got it, the firmware is 2.024. And somehow all the photos for test shoots are jpg only when I check them out on my laptop, and I can't find any option in the camera menu to change the saving file type to DNG or RAW or something else. Does the m8 can only shoot in jpg or do I miss something?
Advertisement Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Hi R3dback, Take a look here Where can I choose to shoot in DNG or RAW on m8?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
david strachan Posted November 23, 2016 Share #2 Posted November 23, 2016 Go to Set, press and scroll to Compression, press Set. Choose "DNG+JPG Fine", or whatever choice you'd like. Press Set. Leave the Set Menu by touching the shutter button. Manuals for the M8 are available at the Leica site, or a search on the web. Enjoy your new camera...and Welcome to the Forum. cheers
