LEICA Q for B&W photography

Recommended Posts

Like them all, but particularly like the empty chairs at the sidewalk restaurant.  Very cool...  Nice job, thanks for sharing.  The Q is a magical camera and so much fun to use...

@EdwardM

I agree, the night scene at the sidewalk is really nice! Did you use a tripod or high ISO-settings?

Thanks for sharing the hint with Silver Efex Pro.

 All shots made in manual mode.

I never use auto mode on Q.  My M9-P was in Wetzlar for repair works, so i took Q for this trip and was trying to use it like M camera.

One of the Q's finest features is manual focus accuracy with a f1.7 Summilux... not the finest composition but I thought the staple was out of place.

I love shooting black and white in camera because the truth is almost always I prefer the black and white. I also keep the RAW because I just may want the image in color and it lets me mess around with black and white using something something like tonality or the new on1 raw.

I love old machinery and farm equipment.  Just discovered a new location of "junk" to capture in B&W...  Like this ancient wagon wheel
