Valentine's Day Champagne:  75mm Summilux wide open, Leica M10

Having owned a R80 and traded it when I no longer had R series gear, and got a deal that allowed me to swap it for my favourite camera of all time.....my mint condition Monochrom MM1.

Anyone with a sense of what can be achieved by selective focus, smoothness of image OOF, and a fabulous transition of depth of perspective as demonstrated very nicely by this image, will understand exactly why the R80 and M75 Lux's are  ABSOLUTELY classic examples of that level of image quality.

Not that every photographer is interested in "THE LOOK " that those Summilux's produce, however if you are........it just doesn't get any better !!

Continuing my experimenting journey with the SX 75mm... This shot from the Superleggera chair designed in 1957, shows the smooth transition between the focus zones to soft, nearly aerially rendered areas. I also love the differentiation of tonalities. Full open.
