Photoskeptic Posted June 13, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 13, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I suppose this can go in this catagory. Several days ago I mentioned I lived in this funky little beach town. Here are some "snaps" of some of the local joints. I hope you enjoy them. M8, 50 'cron Note: scroll down for one more. Advertisement Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Hi Photoskeptic, Take a look here Folly Beach, SC. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Photoskeptic Posted June 13, 2007 Author Share #2 Posted June 13, 2007 And our pier. M6TTL, not sure what lens but probably a 28 Elmarit.
pemayeux Posted June 13, 2007 Share #3 Posted June 13, 2007 Very nice reportage. I like the B&W conversion in the first, very nice tones and crisp whites. The second post of the pier is superb! Great framing and tones. The grain from the film really adds to the textures.
martinop Posted June 13, 2007 Share #4 Posted June 13, 2007 Enjoyed looking at the series. Also like the last shot (personal favorite)i.e. perspective and DOF on the pier.
Photoskeptic Posted June 13, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted June 13, 2007 Thanks, guys. The first shot is bw mode, but shot with a yellow filter!
Chuckcars Posted June 13, 2007 Share #6 Posted June 13, 2007 Am leaning toward the BW's. You captured the people just right. Pier and beachwalkers would make a great 24inch wide.
stuny Posted June 14, 2007 Share #7 Posted June 14, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) John - I like them all. #1 seems like a scene out of Forrest Gump. In #3, how fast was that great white shark going when he hit the building? #4's angle, geometry, tonal range, framing and contrast make it art.
