Robert M Poole Posted October 19, 2016 Share #2 Posted October 19, 2016 Rori, I already commented on IG but this is a great portrait. Full of character, the lines on the face tell of a hard life and the far away look in the eyes say he's seen a lot. Thanks for sharing Rob

Louis Posted October 19, 2016 Share #6 Posted October 19, 2016 As I said in the other site; this is such a wonderful shot! One of your best, my friend! (But I think you should post vertical (portrait shape) shots a little smaller in this site. I can not see the entire photo and have to scroll it!) pop Posted October 20, 2016 Share #9 Posted October 20, 2016 Thanks again Louis. Why you can't see the entire image, what browser or device you're using? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk I think I can answer that. The image is 1200 pixels tall. Everyone having a screen which is not 1200 tall (plus some ample reserve for the overhead added by the browser and the site) will have to scroll up and down to see the entire picture at all . If you want to see the entire picture at the same time, you have to zoom out which makes everything on the page illegible. So, you can clearly see that zooming out for each picture I want to see and then zooming in again to resume browsing the forum is not very attractive. The screen of my laptop which I use most of the time is 1920px wide and 1080px tall.

Louis Posted October 20, 2016 Share #15 Posted October 20, 2016 I think I can answer that. The image is 1200 pixels tall. The screen of my laptop which I use most of the time is 1920px wide and 1080px tall. Thanks for the explanation, Philipp. I have a 24 inch monitor with 1920/1200 resolution. My viewing zoom (google chrome) is at 125%; so, when the top of the picture is at the top of my screen, the bottom of the picture is in the middle of the man's little finger! Therefore, I have to scroll.... When I put the zoom to 100%, I still can't see the entire photo.... from my own previous experiments, I think the best result for a vertical shot (portrait format) is a of maximum 100px.... If I keep my zoom down, or even at 100%, the rest becomes too small to my eyes!

david strachan Posted October 26, 2016 Share #18 Posted October 26, 2016 It's a great picture. Tones and composition, but the hands are huge. They look way too disproportionate to the face, Rodrigo. I suppose the 28mm too close? OTOH the view might look right for others...I have mixed feelings. all best..
