Here is a slightly revised  version of the photo that I posted in #1106 above.

I haven't been out with a camera much recently and, when I do, I can't help feel that I'm often retreading old ground (both literally and metaphorically).

Staying with the current theme of sunsets and the like, here's a snap from yesterday. If it seems familiar to me it's because I recall taking this a couple of years ago from virtually the same spot with a 35mm Summicron. M 240 below and film (cheap AgfaVista) for the Summicron photo.

I read in another thread about a new Lightroom plugin for processing color negative camera digitalizations called Negative Lab Pro, which looks interesting: there's a five minute introductive video and on the "GUIDE" page there's a 35 minute in-depth video that is interesting for its ideas on color correcting negative scans, even in you aren't interested in NLP. Apparently, the developer of the software is currently adding scanner profiles the the huge number of currently profiled camera in NLP.

I haven't bought the software yet because I'm not shooting film this month but, in an off-the-wall moment, I decided to download the trial and apply it to M10 files to see what it would do. I applied NLP to the DNG for the image in my post #1110 above, and then processed it in Lightroom essentially the same way as the earlier picture; but the results are quite different — and I couldn't get from the earlier look to this one unless I try some selective adjustments. I've written to the developer asking him if he thinks NLP could also be useful for processing images because it acts in a way that is much different from LR.
