Only Frenchies here? ;) Ten years ago i was using my Leica lenses with an Epson R-D1 body that was the first copy imported in Europe and was the first digital rangefinder ever. Outstanding camera that i preferred to the M8 for various reasons including a true 1:1 VF, a reversible LCD, analogue controls etc. The motor noise of the M8 was unbearable to me but its IQ was unique due to the thin sensor stack Leica chose then. Also some of my Leica lenses did not fit the R-D1 so i decided to purchase a second hand M8.2 which was a bit less noisy than the regular M8. Here is one of the first digital pics i shot with the Elmarit-M 135/2.8 in 2011. It shows the accutance of the M8.2 that remains unrivaled to me at the exception of the Sigma DP2 Merril.

I only have been using M8(.2) for a year, and love it much. Help a lot in improving my photography. Now it has slightly different looks: aki-asahi skin, silver dot, and neck strap.

I've just loved the Leica experience over the last four years, and wish I'd discovered them earlier.

My M8's are so much fun...

I still got my M8, although I mostly shoot with my M9. In this post I express my love for the M8:

As you can see with te picture in this post, the M8 is a low light monster ;-)

I do love my Leica M-P digital camera. It's quite my favorite digital camera, more portable than my D800E, and I even prefer it for urban night photography. Now if we could get Leica to produce a digital M with a sensor in the 36-50MP range, with a high resolution EVF accessory, and the ability to live view with magnification anywhere on the frame in the screen or EVF, those of us who use the M-system for landscape work would be really happy. Not every Leica M photographer uses their camera for street and photojournalism work!

The M Monochrom is the camera I wanted for my whole life, including long before I could imagine such a thing was even possible!

Have an M9 and that's great too, had to have it when it first came out as I did a little later with the MM, fortunately I already had the lenses.   And the Q has taken up a lot of my attention lately--it's a close cousin to a digital M.
