fastfashn Posted September 15, 2016 Share #1 Posted September 15, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) So in a bout of insanity, (well he__, it was only $700) I have bought my first Leica. This will be supplementing my Fuji X-Pro 1. I haven't bought a new camera in four years, not much of one for gear addiction, but I've kind of fallen in love with a pretty face. So, am I completely nuts? LOL Recommendations on any screw-mount or Nikon lenses appreciated. Thanks! - Dana http://www.percolatingpixelphotos.com "LEICA T WITH ORIGINAL BOX, INSTRUCTIONS , 2 BATTERIES, CHARGER,LEICA STRAP AND BODY CAP. ALSO 2X NIKON LENS TO LEICA T ADAPTER, INCLUDES NON AI 50MM NIKKOR F2 LENS. ALSO COMES WITH KIPON LTM ADAPTER WHICH ALLOWS YOU TO USE LEICA THREAD MOUNT LENSES ON THE LEICA T. YOU MUST USE MANUAL FOCUS WITH THESE ADAPTERS. THE CAMERA HAS THE LATEST SOFTWARE UPGRADES. "

Louis Posted September 15, 2016 Share #2 Posted September 15, 2016 Congratulations! ... Despite all the negative reviews, Leica T is a wonderful camera that I am very much enjoying. I only use my camera with Nikkor lenses, manually, via the Novoflex adapter. This adapter works with both AI and G lenses. But you should also be aware that the EVF, Visoflex, is a must for manually focusing. Looking forward to see your pictures,
fastfashn Posted September 15, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted September 15, 2016 Thanks thanks. I plan to start out with the camera on tripod (using rear screen) and then move along as cash allows. I'm pretty much interested in using the camera for landscapes and street scenes in the American West and National Parks, and using older lenses for that kind of look appeals to me. I remember, a long time ago, my dad mentioning Leicas in good terms, but he never had one, insofar as I know. The original memory is corrupted, so it's now more of an impression. I must have been very young. Anyway, should be fun. And. $700. Depreciation is fun.
fastfashn Posted September 15, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted September 15, 2016 So. Question. I have an ATT unlimited data plan, which I don't want to toss 'cause I use like 20GB a month of data. I just downloaded the app for the T. Any way to connect with no "hotspot", in the field?
Guest Posted September 16, 2016 Share #5 Posted September 16, 2016 The T creates a Leica wifi network for your smartphone to connect with. You literally launch wifi on the camera and then attach your phone to the Leica wifi network. Then launch the app on your phone.

Help meeeeeee. Welcome to club! I always had this problem and tried with every firmware!.... Some say it is because you have an adapter and adapters don't have any electronic connection to the camera. Some others say it works with Leica adapter and lenses, but not with Novoflex/Nikon adapter like yours and mine!... But the fact is, it just doesn't work! This was a big issue and long discussed. You can find all the discussions in the previous pages of this forum.
