Snooopy Posted August 27, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 27, 2016 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I always wanted to have a coloured Q like the Leica T, now the time has come. I think the Cover of the Q looks very fierce, also it’s more solid than the Leica grip. This one wobbles a little bit. I also changed the design. The diameter is somehow different. It took me five times to construct the perfect grip. The thread for the application ¼ (tripod plate) was printed and works very well. -Software Solidworks 2016 -Prototypes total five pieces -Printing time 8h -Glue felt on the inside 45min Regards, Lukas Welcome, dear visitor! lucerne Posted September 4, 2016 Share #6 Posted September 4, 2016 (edited) Leica Q stealth-cover without Leica-Red-Dot OK. This version I like. It looks stealthy and does away with the need for a grip. Do you propose to incorporate access to the camera base? I would also suggest the internal dimensions should make space for a permanent soft lining. What is the rear like? How would this item be marketed in bulk or do you propose special orders for single unit print? Amended post: I can see from the earlier design that access to card and battery is incorporated and glued felt internally. ropo54 Posted September 4, 2016 Share #7 Posted September 4, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) It looks a bit like a mini SL 601. Great looking. When you decide to put into production, let me know! Rob
Snooopy Posted September 4, 2016 Author Share #8 Posted September 4, 2016 The cover has inside a soft inlay like the orignal Leica hand grip. The yellow cover from behind on a tripod it`s the same design. Welcome, dear visitor! Rich Niemeyer Posted October 14, 2016 Share #15 Posted October 14, 2016 I like the stealth version. I think you have a marketable item. Keep us posted.
viramati Posted October 18, 2016 Share #16 Posted October 18, 2016 I think the 'stealth' version could be of interest to some (though I find a bit of black electrical tape does the the job for virtually no cost) if you could make a more folded grip as the smooth one doesn't look very grippy
