You’ll never buy a DSLR again once you use the Huawei P9

This may be true for people who never do anything more with their photos than post them on social media websites; for those of us who aim higher with regard to photography, this claim is IMO jibber-jabber.  But then on the other hand, it was on the internet so it has to be true.

Huawei P9?  No, thanks.  I'll be sticking with my M cameras and lenses.

LOL yeah right!

The 'article' you linked is just an advert so it's just marketing puff, not a serious opinion.

It looks like an online magazine with paid advertisers (one of which is not Leica).  Now that I look again, I can see how the "article" could be regarded as thinly veiled advertising.   Whether it is that or a hobbled attempt at writing a review of the P9 it is, um...  less than successful on both counts as indicated by my tags to this thread.  ;)

I have read a somewhat lukewarm review of the Huawei P9 by DxO, who I feel do know what they are doing. With a score of 80, this is below the scores of many other cameras on recent premium smart phones. Good idea for Leica to append their good name to this phone? I have my doubts.

I'm not sure this is veiled at all.

There is even a ‘promoted’ tag right above the headline. While I happen to think that the P9 features quite a nice camera, this article is pure advertising and should be treated as such.
