Leica R lenses on Leica T ?

Recommended Posts

I tried it with the summilux-R 35mm. Works nicely.

I bought an Adapter for R-Lenses on Leica T on ebay, from a Long Island seller, manufactured in China, 12 USDollars including shipping to Europe. Delivery was within 3 days.

I find Leicas announced price for an R to SL adapter extremly disturbing, considering that it does not even transmit the automatic diaphragm. From Leica I would expect an adapter made to sense the opening of the working diaphragm and transmit it electronically as well as mechanically operate the the automatic diaphragm.

Hi Gert,

here some examples with the Summicron-R 50mm (mostly at f/4).

The Summicron-R 35mm has with a full format problems in the corners, but is better with the T but the extreme corners are still not so brilliant (I had the lens only for a test - and I take my Summilux-M)

Hey Folks,

Anyone tried de Summicrons-R 35 and 50 on the Leica T ?

Gert

Yep! I have oldest R 35 made and R Apo Macro 100mm, hung onto from my R film days. Both work great on the T or the M240. They are though heavy and bulky. Excellent lenses on par with M lenses for much less. However for 35 Summicron, I much prefer using my M version for size and weight.
