There is the reason, that sometimes I don't comment the shots immediately, and sometimes I don't comment at all. I need some time to analyze why and what I like and sometimes I don't succeed at all. There are quite some things I like in this shot: First, kid is cute, no doubt, but it works even better, because focus is  little bit smooth and light is smooth too- that's fine for children portraits. B&W conversion is also good, black background emphasize importance of the subject. And I like composition as well. All in all, very fine shot!

Appreciate your kind words Matic, I do agree we need to look again and again of a photo or series of photo to have better feel....

I do agree with Matic also. What one can enjoy about this picture needs time to decribe. The smooth softnes and Rendering bring about much atmosphere and emotions. That is what photography is about.
