Leica Q DNG on IOS

Dear fellow Leica Q users, I have updated my Leica Q to v2.0 as most of you did already.

The problem is, I am importing DNG files with Apple SD Card adapter to my 6s+ since the WIFI app is not compatible yet.

But the DNG files does not show in Photos app nor in Lightroom Mobile (registered user).

This RAW compability is restricted to ipad users only or may I use this on my iphone as well? Thanx in advance.

The app can not import DNG from card reader.  Too bad!  My workaround is to use the card reader, import into "Photos" (I use an iPad), then import into LR Mobile.

Step 1: Card Reader will open "Photos" but only show a dummy icon for DNG files.  Import it.

Step 2: Open LR Mobile and go to add photos, select "Camera Role", and a black icon appears with no image...  Add it to your collection.

Step 3: Open the image in LR Mobile and you will see your DNG (and now you know how ugly my desktop appears...)

I have not tried this on iPhone.  It should be the same.  Let me know if this works for you.

It works on the iPad Pro after you select and import.  Don't know about other iPads or the iPhone.

Thank you very much guys. It worked like that, since IOS still can't preview DNG files I guess I have to wait for IOS 10 to natively view then import them.

Not sure about the Leica Q, but my DNG files from my Pentax 645Z's DNG Raw files import into iOS via the lightning SD reader, I just import them, and then they show up in the thumbnail view with a RAW label. The one thing though I noticed is if I shot only DNG with my 645Z, they did not show up in the iOS import window even though it would load the import window (it just was blank). What I had to do is shoot DNG+small Jpeg, and then they showed up.
