Lenses that do not work on the SL

Recommended Posts

Is it possible that there is some misunderstanding ? Thighslapper mentions that his 21/3.4 is miles better than the WATE at 21mm on the SL. Or is yours a different lens ? (new versus old ?)

But maybe he has never used it on the SL ? Maybe you can check with him ?

Thighslapper tested the Karbe Leica SuperElmar 21/3.4, which is a modern fairly telecentric lens.  It works well everywhere, although some claim that the WATE is slightly sharper on the SL.  The Super Angulon is an older design, very compact, and set deep inside the camera - a recipe for digital problems.

One major disappointment for me is that the Super Angulon 21/3.4 does not mount and work on the SL

It's my go-to 21mm lens for B&W work

Which other lenses are not compatible with the SL and what's the reason?

Hi,

Also the first M- Elmarit 2.8x28 does not mount.
