Me Leica! Posted June 22, 2016 Share #1 Posted June 22, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I saw a used M8 in a camera store here recently. I asked to have a look at it, and I took a few shots. Initially, no problem; from the (admittedly not very good) rear screen I was able to determine that the focus seemed reasonably accurate, etc. Then something strange happened. I raised the ISO to 320 to shoot stopped down a little. The first shot I took, the picture did not display on the rear screen. Instead, it just showed the picture number (for instance, L33422. DNG) in the middle of the screen. Nothing else. I tried this several more times with the exact same result. Anyone ever seen something like this, and have any idea what it is? It's a shame, because the camera was in quite good condition and had a grip attached, for a not unreasonable price.

Gavbo Posted June 25, 2016 Share #2 Posted June 25, 2016 (edited) I had that problem with a micro Sandisk and sd adopter combination. All is good after a change of card. Edited June 25, 2016 by Gavbo
Steve Ash Posted June 26, 2016 Share #3 Posted June 26, 2016 This happened to my M8 after I took some test shots with the SL on the same sd card. The SL pictures could not be displayed but the file names were shown. Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
jaapv Posted July 3, 2016 Share #4 Posted July 3, 2016 Did you use a card that was formatted in another camera? That is usually the cause.
