Industrial landscape - 3 pictures

I visited a photo and adventure fair. The location was one of those industrial sites once being the heart of the German steel production and mining industry and energy supply.

In the ruhr-Gebiet you can find an eldorado for photogrpahers. Her there were many of them exploring the buildings. Many were open accessible and being meant for trying out things.

The Leic Q was the camera of the choice for that day and it was sheer fun. Exposure was extremely challenging with a bright overcast sky and the dark contrasty and rusty objects.

Your sets of these rusty artifacts are nice, they remind me of the industrial typologies of Bernd and Hilla Becher. Any close up details?

War,

mayn thanks - Oh, I have just started to get a glimpse of what a huge effort for the Bechers it was to create their documentaries. They recreated the beauty and the essence of those buildings. But with just a handheld FF camera one can only capture an approach.

Yes, I have some details also an will post them soon. Thanks for asking.

I was just leaving the waterside park area when I spotted this guy. I was already driving so I drove back around the park and parked up so that I could catch him. It had just been pouring with rain so I think he stopped under the tree to take shelter, but he then sat on the wet grass.

Probably the last lens I would have considered using for a portrait would be a 10 mm hyper-wide lens but here's the result.  I was in a very cramped cottage in the Black Country Museum in Warwickshire and the 10 mm was able to scoop in everything I wanted and dealt with the complex colour balance from daylight, candle light, and open fire exceptionally well I feel.  While I'm aware that there are some  imperfections I'm pleased with the picture.
I wanted to show the subject in her surroundings as it would have looked 150 years ago.
Thank you for finding the time to look at my picture and your comments are welcome.

It was heaving with tourists from the cathedral, but I managed to get this photo of this historic street when there was a short lull.
