As I was catching up on the "Barnack's Monthly" and giving positive votes on photos not yet seen, an error message suddenly popped up stating that I had reached my daily quota of "Thank You"  :(

Yesterday this occurred after 6 pages and today after just one page !!!

Is this a bug ? Is there a daily quota and how much is the quota ?

Thanks

Andreas,

I run the Barnack's Monthly threads and try to thank everyone who very kindly contributes their photos.  For the first time yesterday and again today I got the daily quota notice but I had thanked fewer than 10 posts today when it struck today.  Has something changed and can the daily quota be sorted out please?

Thank you,

Pete.

Yesterday, I got this message for the first time, and I'm sure I hadn't thanked 100 posts but I may have done.  Today I tried again and got the message on the first attempt.  Does the Forum software reset this at midnight or is it a rolling 24 hours ie. 24 hours after your first thanks?  I'm not sure about others but I think the former would be preferable.

It happened to me today for the first time and I was way off the daily quota. I tried again at different topics to no avail. But then I realized that I had logged into the forum with two different browsers simultanueously(Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer), because I wanted to check the different color renderings of the browsers. So I closed one of the browsers(IE) and voilà, everything was fine again!

So my guess is now, that the forum software has a built-in spam protection, which discovers multiple instances from the same user.

To double-check I logged in a second time again and tried to vote, and all I got, was "An error occured - There was a problem storing your reputation vote".

I think, because the results are reproducible, the problem might be solved - at least until someone else proves otherwise :)
