tom0511 Posted June 5, 2016 Share #1 Posted June 5, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have been using and enjoying the T quite a bit. One area where I sometimes get less than perfect results is focus accuracy in portraits. I go back and forth between face detection and spot. In general face detection seems to work ok still sometimes I feel I let the camera decide which distance is chosen (left eye/right eye/or does it occasionally focus on something else in the background). So my question: Which method do you use and how successful?
Advertisement Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Hi tom0511, Take a look here face detection vs 1-point vs spot AF. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest Posted June 5, 2016 Share #2 Posted June 5, 2016 I would say Manual Focus every time. If you had asked me 6 months ago, I would have said without blinking AF. I now am so fed up with AF I gave manual focus a determined effort and I have found it much easier, especially on portraits.

HenrikP Posted June 6, 2016 Share #4 Posted June 6, 2016 When I shoot in studio and i shoot portraits (canon) I always use one spot AF, then you know what you get. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
