Quick SL Question on Focus Point

Hi, renting an SL for the weekend and have a question I can't answer:

Is there a way to move the focus point back to the center point instantly, without using the touch screen?  When using focus tracking, the camera leaves the focus point at the last focused point and I am used to being able to get the point quickly back to the center.

Thanks.

Not with the SL lenses. Conversely, with M and R lenses, the zoom-in focus point for manual focusing always returns to the centre after each shot.

...which is extremely annoying...

... to some.

I know... and I want to keep it that way...!

Me, too. And make it work in a same fashion also with M lenses :D

And then on top of it, make it possible - if one wishes it - to reset position back to center with single button push.

So, I guess everybody would be happy

(bolded) Yes.

With a one-push framing reset available, whether the selected focus point is sticky between actuations or not is irrelevant. This is why the Olympus E-M1 offers a user-configurable "home" position for the AF system and the ability to assign a one-push reset button to bring it there instantly when needed...
