war Posted May 22, 2016 Share #1 Posted May 22, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I already posted this in the B&W thread, but thought that it would fit better here. Daniel Burnham designed this building, built in 1904 and peered from these round windows of his office. . This view shows the neighboring Straus Building designed by the successor firm Graham, Anderson, Probst & White in 1924. This office space is now occupied by Goettsch Partners, another influential Chicago architecture firm. Welcome, dear visitor! fotografr Posted June 7, 2016 Share #5 Posted June 7, 2016 Excellent conversion and composition. The person looking out really adds to the image. I also like the way you incorporated part of the round table in the foreground which mimics the shape of the window.

ShawnK Posted August 2, 2016 Share #8 Posted August 2, 2016 I do like the fascinating history behind it but I also find the composition is spot-on, it is really terrific. It looks like shadowy figure is looking to see who else is working past 5:00pm as he casts a 5:00pm in a silhouette, with an empty office chair thrown in. A great narrative.
