Demitris. You are a scary good photographer. That little bug is sharp!

Thanks Dan!

I have focus stacked just the area with the bug and then I have doubled the resolution of the photo using preserve details 2.0 in photoshop.. Not as natural as I would like, some extra megapixels would be helpful ;)

+1

And Dimitris's ability to define what should be sharp and what should be out of focus gives a distinctive aesthetic presentation. So happy to have you back!!

Just happened on this intro to macro photography. I'm sure most contributors to our thread are aware of these principles, but I'm impressed with the fluidity of his presentation and I learned a lot. In fact, I subscribed to his channel.

A nice overview of macro with some thoughtful tips. Well worth the few minutes to watch it.

Great video Ken, thank you so much for sharing! Very informative and you can realise from the first minute that the person that made it has spent a lot of time editing it to really high standards.

I'm getting a real kick out of the macro setting on this camera.  When I look at a full resolution version of this picture, I can see each individual grain of pollen.

My first try with the Marumi +5. I hope to get outside and take advantage of all the blooming plants this weekend.

The one above is of course a dandelion also, not a daffodil!
