Advertisement Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Hi jdlaing, Take a look here Firmware-Update Leica M240 / M262 / Monochrom 246. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
rjsphd Posted April 29, 2016 Share #22 Posted April 29, 2016 Please, What does this mean for my M 240 (from the upgrade description) It is now possible to display DNG files from the Leica M Monochrom (Typ 246) in all zoom steps, also with the M/M-P (Typ 240 and 262)? NWPhoto Posted April 29, 2016 Share #27 Posted April 29, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thought I should mention that someone in our Facebook group did this update and now has black and red stripe in his shots. He's not very happy about it either, which is understandable. Anyone else have an issue? I may just wait.

faxao Posted April 29, 2016 Share #31 Posted April 29, 2016 Everything fine also here after new firmware update on my M-P. Old profiles imported from a different SD card vs. the one used for the firmware update.
chris_tribble Posted April 29, 2016 Share #32 Posted April 29, 2016 (edited) JUST REALISED THIS IS REDUNDANT BUT CAN'T DELETE.! Yes. It will add all the functionality of the earlier firmware improvements. Worth doing IMHO. Edited April 29, 2016 by chris_tribble
LocalHero1953 Posted April 29, 2016 Share #33 Posted April 29, 2016 I used the same SD card for the update and for exporting/importing my profiles. I'm not saying you should do this (you might want separate cards for safety), but it worked.
Kaneda Posted April 30, 2016 Share #34 Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) Am I doing this right ? I've downloaded the firmware onto my formatted SD card (top menu) and then inserted into my M. Pressed the info button at same time as turning on M. But nothing happens ! Edit: forget that, its working now...flat battery Edited April 30, 2016 by Kaneda

pechelman Posted April 30, 2016 Share #37 Posted April 30, 2016 updates went swimmingly on 240 and 246. Didnt bother with saving my profile. Took a total of ~2 extra minutes on each to get the settings back to what I use.

jprabbitt Posted April 30, 2016 Share #39 Posted April 30, 2016 Excellent - for information, as the update wipes your preferences it can be convenient to export these to SD card and keep this card to one side (or copy to a computer). You can then go ahead and follow the firmware update instructions. Once installed, you can import your settings and get back to where you were before the update. I've just done this myself and it works... Hope this saves a few people a bit of time and frustration. Great, but how does one export the settings?
