I am somewhat unhappy with this image.   I took it with black and white in mind.  However, I can not get it to look like the image I hoped for.  It doesn't help that I can't even explain to myself what it is I was hoping for.  So much to learn.

I think it is a nice picture.  If it was mine I would give it about 25% more exposure in post and then increase the contrast with a bit of a contrast curve.  It would give you much more contrast between the sky and the branches, but still have detail in both.

After you visualize in your mind what you are after, you can find out what to do to get the desired results.

Haven't I also seen your name at the BMW motorcycle web sites.  An interest in BMW R1200GS' and Leica M's is a great, great combination!

That's me.   And not just beemers.   The M and a Q usually live in the tail pack of a BMW GS or a Suzuko DR650.

I'll try the exposure/contrast adjustment to see if I can make the image come closer to what I hoped for.  Thanks.

And since this is a picture thread, another picture from my M

Street photography in Oakland, California. I had a conversation with this man, who paints murals in Oakland, and asked him to pose next to this mural (although it isn't one of his). 50mm Summilux.
