I was in Simla, India, last month which is a town in the Himalayas. Its common to find street vendors roasting corn cobs over coal fires and selling them. A tourist had just taken a few bites of her corn when this female monkey, baby gripping her belly, snatched the corn out of her hand and took off. The tourist was screaming and I just had enough time to turn around, lift my M240 and snap a shot, hoping for the best. Mom was moving a mile a minute hightailing it out of there. Out of focus but pretty funny all said and done. Tourist refused to buy another corn. Pity, as my camera was ready this time.

One of my simpler panoramas. A sunrise in rural Canterbury, New Zealand a few weeks ago.

5 images on the Leica M 240 and Voigtländer 50mm F1.5 Nokton stitched and processed in Lightroom.

Stealth Spaceship — Buttonwillow 2017

On a trip to Southern California, I pulled off I-5 at Buttonwillow and caught this snap of my 2006 Mercedes-Benz SLK280 by the side of the road. It's such a great machine for traveling!

From the road trip last weekend...

I drove out of Palm Springs heading south and west on Hwy 74 over the mountains. This is the view back to the north from the top of the ridge on Hwy 74 looking towards Palm Springs and the Palm Desert. Time is about 8:45 in the morning.

I'd been meaning to visit the observation deck of the Los Angeles City Hall for a while. Finally did, and captured thing image before heading outside for the full view. Leica MP240 21mm Super Elmar.

I recently wrote a review on this lens if you are interested. Love to hear your comments. It can be seen at:

Thanks so much!
