I am using   Toshiba WIFI FlashAir (W-03)  with M240 too, it works very well , I use only that  card with my ipad pro

Why should there be a problem with your iMac? And welcome to the forum :)

because reading in the forum, I seem to have realized that wi-fi SD can only be downloaded on iphone and ipad ...

Not true. Just pop it in a card reader.  Or, if you want to use it as WiFi, you should be able to make a connection in your iMac. Go to "Apple"-->System Preferences-->Network and set up your connection.
