Rose is the last standing old-style merchant in my village, her old shop looks today as it was 50 years ago. She's know for her honesty and very very low profit. margins. Prices you find there are simply unbeatable :-)

Excellent work! The framing and her lean toward center, combined with perfect light and a beautiful subject all make for a top portrait. Your handling of the background tones is excellent, also. Thanks for posting this.

Thank you Larry, she's really a character with an Angelic face of peaceful expression.

Hi Rodrigue

Lovely light on her face and she has a lovely expression. The blue across the bottom of the picture is special. Did you take any more?

Best wishes

steve

Thank you Steve, she barely stood there for 2 or 3 clicks, she said "my son, you should find something beautiful and full of life to photograph" :-) I'll show you the other one when I'm on my computer.

What a great portrait! I love the colour range, the expression, just everything about it. The second one does not have the knowing wistfulness of the first which I much prefer.

Thanks Gerry, yes, the first shot is the winner no question about it, it was also the first!
