Advertisement Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Hi stunsworth, Take a look here Yorkshire sculpture park No. 2. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
robsteve Posted June 7, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 7, 2007 Steve: I think this is the best of the bunch. Looks like the focus is spot on. Robert
stunsworth Posted June 7, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted June 7, 2007 Thanks Robert, I thought this series had sunk without trace <grin> It's a fantastic lens, but focussing has to be spot on. Another one where the DOF markings don't tell the whole story.
robsteve Posted June 7, 2007 Share #4 Posted June 7, 2007 As I had mention previously on this lens, even objects that seem to be at infinity have to be focused carefully. I had used the 75mm Summicron a bit when I shot the basketball in March and found the Noctilux to be easier to focus. When I got the 75mm in focus they were razor sharp, but the ones I missed were much softer than misses with the Noctilux. I suspect your sculptures weren't moving very fast and were a good test for focus
