Advertisement Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Hi jaapv, Take a look here Lens hood thread ??. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Leica Guy Posted March 19, 2018 Share #22 Posted March 19, 2018 I don’t expect to ever experience the lens cap falling off. Mine is still in the box after two years. I never plan to use it. I have chosen to use an op tech lens cover when my camera is in the bag. Otherwise I go with just the hood and no cap.
cheealex Posted March 21, 2018 Share #23 Posted March 21, 2018 the inside of my lens cap is indeed falling off after just a few use!
robgo2 Posted March 23, 2018 Share #24 Posted March 23, 2018 Get a piece of thin sticky velvet and stick a strip in. I accomplished the same thing with simple gaffers tape, about 2 inch long strips on opposite sides of the inside rim of the lens cap. The fit is perfect, but one can always stack an additional one or two strips to make it even tighter.
bullmoon Posted March 26, 2018 Share #25 Posted March 26, 2018 Just got that OP/Tech mini hood - good idea. For a little extra protection, get a B+W (Schneider) 65mm press-on cap and put it in the bottom of the mini hood as the hood is pretty soft - that will add a little more bump protection. bags27 Posted March 27, 2018 Share #27 Posted March 27, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does the OP/Tech mini hood fit over the Leica lens hood or do you have to unscrew that first? thanks.
Leica Guy Posted March 27, 2018 Share #28 Posted March 27, 2018 It fits snugly over the lens hood and lens. Easy peasy.
