What an interestingly disturbing photo. It feels like it's been thru a time warp and a space warp at the same time. There are things that pull my eye one way, then another. Part of me feels like I'm falling over, that gravity is shifting. My eye jumps to the solo cloud on the left, and says "wait a minute, wait a minute" but then it gets offset by the dark unbalanced line of the side of the road on the right, then the road looks level in the distance, but feels like it is leaning to the right in the foreground. So many things seem unbalanced, but in the end I find that it works in a very disturbed way. A surprising image.

All your Mexico portraits are quite wonderful?  Do you notice that almost no native Mexicans smile? Took a Q to Acapulco and Taxco this last year and it dawned on me that over all of a weeks worth of photos, no one was smiling.

Thanks for the kind words.  I prefer it when my portrait subjects have relaxed, natural expressions. That said, I found the Mexican people in San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato to be good natured and cheerful.
