Love the texture of your images, almost abstract painting. This is interesting, also, upside down. The branches start getting into Jackson Pollock.

Thanks Ernest!  I too love textures, sometimes perhaps too much. Upside down is interesting. :0)  Now if I could only earn the cost of a Pollack. Cheers. Patty

I stopped by the same cosmetics store today and photographed the same young saleswoman: this time with a 50mm rather than the 28mm that I used last time.

Why not? We had a half an hour conversation both times, and she's seen them posted. Are you the people-pictures posting police? Seriously, what's the problem?

This is the other saleswoman in the same cosmetics store as the previous image posted above (post #5314). This young woman is a Shan, from Chiang Tung in Burma, who has lived in Chiang Mai for 15 years, since she was a child. The Shan are a Thai ethnic group (called "Thai Yai" in Thai), who speak a Thai language that is not mutually comprehensible with standard Thai or the Chiang Mai dialect (similar to Lao), but which makes is easy for Shans to learn Thai. While her spoken Thai is perfect, she cannot read Thai because, as a Thai resident but not a citizen, she was not able to go to a state Thai school. In this shot, I missed focus on her eyes but, for me, the image still works.
