In case anyone was wondering about the size difference in practical terms.  I'm lucky to have both.  I love the Q but the X1 is my everyday carry.

nice idea. you did, what I should have done also. I have those two as well and often I think, the X1 is still a superb camera. I will keep my X1 and will use it more often again in future.

I am pleased that there are kindred spirits out there who still enjoy the special qualities of the petite X1. I bought mine when first launched and received a free leather erc to reward my patience when launch deliveries of the camera were delayed. Despite its relative age, in digital terms, it is my perfect pocket camera for non- photo trips.

thats why I keep the x2 and prefer it over the new x and over the Q. Size.

The original idea of the X to have a really compact camera with a decent sensor has been lost over the years.

I had the X as well for a number of years. But the Ricoh GR showed how a true successor to the X1 could look like and work.
