Shooting IR with MM246

Done some interesting tests today with MM246 and 760nm filter. In few words - it's quite tough to shoot it without converting the camera. I'm sure it's true for any camera, but still.. Extra sensitivity helped somewhat. Still had to go to 10000ISO to be able to shoot handheld. I did a write up with some example large images on my blog. So either a tripod or a faster than 2.0/f lens if the 10000iso grain bothers you. Any of you have stories to share about IR? Perhaps someone has converted their MM's?

This was done with a 715 filter, I didn't want a full on IR effect, just enough to bring out the foliage in a situation where it would otherwise have been a similar tone to the stone and ground.

I remember something about M8 being very sensitive with IR. Is it still true, or have there been a fix like sensor replacement or something?

It is still true; you have to use an IR blocking filter in front of the lens.
