When the winter sun is ot even the forest can look delightful. Temepratures were mild a a kind of spring was in the air.

Iduna,

This is really very interesting, simple and so strongly composed, great textures and detail.

It is quite though provoking...life, death, decay and renewal, that sort of thing.

It would also (IMHO) work very well as a B&W conversion which would tend perhaps to

make the image even more abstract.

Stuart,

thank you for looking at our forest.

Dee,

thank you, your nice review is very helpful. Yes, I'll try a conversion in b&w, I was a bit unsure whether the lines would be too confusing but I'll check.

Brent,

your comment is much appreciated. Indeed it was an experiment, whether the panoramic view without using a panoramic head would work on this close distance. Thank you very much for your time for a closer look.

A winter walk in the lost village - former military training area - now centre of a national park. From this perspective it looks not too bad,  hidden by trees there is the old school building and the church from the original village, which was given up after WW2.  (SL 2 & VE 24-90mm)

Approaching the village from the other side you will find the last "buildings" constructed to practice house combat. SL2 & VE 90-280mm, focus stacked.

      Hallo Community,

      Vorab schon mal vielen Dank,

      Ronald
