Life is short.  Buy it now.  A gigantic meteoroite may hit the earth and kill us all while you are waiting.

 

 

Wait for the FEDs meeting this week. The lens might end up even cheaper soon ;-)

Here, I wanted to shoot a slow shutter, shot wide open, to view shallow DOF and motion at the same time.

Lighting in this room is dim, and I usually need fill flash with my nikon lenses.

Here, remarkably, I had to Pull the ISO to 100 at 1/24s to shoot at 0.95. I certainly did not want external aid(filter) to slow the lens down.

Focus is on ball 15. DOF plane follows the 1/3 , 2/3rd rule, I think. Shot about 3ft from the table's edge

Very pleased. There is no colour aberration. Lighting, is simple pot lights in the ceiling. I did not dim them, although I would have had to, to slow the lens down more

CONCLUSION:

Noctilux is an engineering marvel. :)
