darylgo Posted December 13, 2015 Share #8 Posted December 13, 2015 Find a good used sample at a dealer, try it, make sure it is working well with your Leica M. New lenses at Photokina can take up to a year prior to availability, re-evaluate new vs. old when available.

kittykat Posted December 28, 2015 Author Share #16 Posted December 28, 2015 (edited) Here, I wanted to shoot a slow shutter, shot wide open, to view shallow DOF and motion at the same time. Lighting in this room is dim, and I usually need fill flash with my nikon lenses. Here, remarkably, I had to Pull the ISO to 100 at 1/24s to shoot at 0.95. I certainly did not want external aid(filter) to slow the lens down. Focus is on ball 15. DOF plane follows the 1/3 , 2/3rd rule, I think. Shot about 3ft from the table's edge Very pleased. There is no colour aberration. Lighting, is simple pot lights in the ceiling. I did not dim them, although I would have had to, to slow the lens down more Welcome, dear visitor!
