NIce work John.

Have you noticed that there's a lot of dust on your sensor? It's really bad in the top part of that image.

Yeah. Will fix that. To be honest, I had a rubbish trip. For some reason, my TL2 had been set to JPG only (grrr) and most of my Summilux 50 shots were out of focus (sigh). All in all most images were rubbish. Everything needs a clean and a reset. In my defence, I was unwell most of the time.

Disappointing, but shit happens, I guess.

Me too, I grew up in the Kaiteri area, we had a bach there when we were kids.

I'm afraid I was one of the Christmas holiday invaders on a few occasions.

A good friend of mine was the manager at Mapua (clothes optional) Leisure Centre for a couple of years in the 80's.  Unfathomably I eventually never got round to visiting him at work.

How are you finding the 90-280 in relation to its smaller brother Tina?  Lovely pics as usual

It's heavy, for sure, but not nearly as massive as I feared.  I've been carrying it around everywhere for about a week now and my arms and shoulders are fine!  The auto-focus is fast and accurate.  I never thought I would need long telephoto lenses with the kind of photography I do, but I'm finding the 280 is very handy to have sometimes.  I'm leaving next week for a month in Norway and Sweden and am looking forward to using the SL with the 3 lenses I have plus a couple of R and M lenses with adapters.  It's actually traveling pretty light compared to carrying 4 M cameras, lots of prime lenses, and a backpack full of film!

Thanks!

Tina
