Thank you. I'm using the M Adapter T, stacked with R Adapter M so that I have access to the R lens codes. (Of course, I made a mistake when I was shooting these and accidentally had the Summilux-R 50mm chosen instead of the Elmarit-R 60mm... doh!)

This Macro-Elmarit-R 60mm is a three-cam model from about 1983. I don't know what coatings it has; all I can say is that it is nothing short of a spectacular performer.

Depending upon the photo, I used aperture settings from f/8 to wide open as well as some plus and minus EV compensation, depending upon the subject matter and the light.

Good evening ramarren,

thank you very much for your answer. I had two different Leica Macro-Elmarit-R 60/2.8, one single coated of 1976 and the second one ROM that I kept. Although construction is identical, one has a very nice scale of greys but less resistant to flare opposed to the last version which is more contrasted. The rendition is quite different from one to the other version. The two versions are very exciting anyway.

Go on with your photos, SL seems to be very nice even if the camera is too expensive for me. Thank you all.

100mm f2.8 Macro R lens and SL. Macro is no going to be so much easier than the M240. This was a quick test using strobes.

Hmm nice watch (Italian airforce? 60s?)  -  is the strap made by that nice Ukranian guy my son spends all his money with?

One of the first photos with my new Leica SL had to be of Chester he was my model for the day.

In this photo he can be seen 'giving me the look'.

I note on previewing this that the reduction of the image to 500K certainly flattens the image compared to how it looks on the retina display in it's full resolution.

Photo taken with Leica 50mm (Apo-Summicron-M 1:2/50 ASPH)

Certainly very happy with the new camera and how nice it is to use.

One small problem noted however   in the EVF there is what appears to be a dust spot which doesn't show up on the images not quite sure what this is about yet  anyone else have any experience with this  ?

Making photographs is much more than just celebrating glorious detail, incredible color, and wonderful equipment. I now feel comfortable that I know enough about the SL that I can get on with the "making photographs" part of the game, where I really begin to have fun.

Leica SL + Summilux-R 50mm f/1.4

I had just a moment or two to set up this shot as the woman and her dogs were moving at a good clip. I flipped to A priority, racked the lens wide open, and set peaking on. I had the 50mm lens on the camera so I could frame loosely (this photo is about 35% of the frame). I set the sharpest zone just in front of them and made two exposures as the peaking indicated they were entering the sharp zone. Really like the feel of it: walking into sharpness out of the soft distance, semi-silhouetted. Captured exactly what I wanted.

BTW: Moderators, could you pin this thread so that it sits up top in the Leica SL section? As much as some of the techy conversation is fun and valuable, I think that overall it's the photos that the SL makes that are the most important part of this wonderful new camera from Leica, and they should be available right up front without having to hunt for them. Thx for considering that.
