My newest SL lens is the 90/2.0.  I think it's a keeper.

Leica SL and Noctilux f/1 v4. Just got the lens, not easy to focus, but love the look. The distracting elements in the picture bother me, the soda can and what may be a water bottle above and just to the right of the hand. When I try to capture the moment, and worry about exposure and focus, I tend to not take the time to remove all the unwanted background elements, but they certainly are noted afterward. Must find the balance, not setting up the scene too much, but also simplifying background.

I don't think there is too much clutter, but moving the camera a little to the right would have moved that bottle away from her hand since it bothers you.

Not to nit pick, but your focal point is little forward, her shoulder is in focus but her face is not. Focus on the eyes/ eye brow.

I think I would have tried various f-stops to see the different DOFs and see how that changes the composition.

My niece  - face illuminated by iPhone

SL+24-90mm, f/5.6, 1/60s, ISO 1600

Nice portrait.

You may want to inform your niece's parents about Blue Screen Blindness caused by iPhones. There are several cases in NY of temporary as well as permanent damage.

Mercedes SL300 in a Museum exhibition. This and the following photos were taken with the Summicron 90SL full open at f2 with the SL put on Auto ISO (maximum time set to 1/f, to avoid motion blur).

For car lovers this exhibition (open until Feb 10, 2019) is highly recommended, so if you make it to Duesseldorf Germany. Here is the link to more details.

Thanks  - its a very good thing to worry about blue light causing macular degeneration

In the new OSs, both iOS/Android have blue light filter options which should be enabled. The link below describes how to enable the filters.

Grey day, and I didn't have time to switch to the long zoom - it is what it is; a pukeko!

I was there yesterday. I took the Z7 with the Novoflex adapter to compare it to the M10 with the same lens.

I have made a page with Adobe's spark with more photos from this exhibition - all with the SL and the Summieren 90SL at open aperture. Thanks for having a look.
