scott kirkpatrick Posted November 17, 2015 Share #45 Posted November 17, 2015 Rather down-to-earth boxing for the SL, The M's come with an inner box which is used if the camera ever needs to go back for service. Is there something like that for the SL body? scott

Is there something like that for the SL body? scott When I called to ship the M9 back for service in January, I asked if I should use the display box. "No, just the body.. Put the body cap on, take the battery and card out, wrap in plastic bag with your info, wrap that in bubble wrap, box that with a couple inches on all sides of packing peanuts. Don't send any pieces of the display packaging as they might get lost and we'd have to track them." There is no inner box for the SL.

I have shipped many M's to NJ and Solmes and always use a regular box. Edited November 17, 2015 by digitalfx

I have always shipped an M in the inner box, wrapped in a plastic bag, plus bubble wrap, plus stuff (peanuts -- "ghost turds", or newspaper). I didn't realize the trouble that causes in tracking, because of course I think my sick M is the only one being looked after... scott Edited November 18, 2015 by scott kirkpatrick
wlaidlaw Posted November 18, 2015 Share #50 Posted November 18, 2015 Mine has arrived up at the dealer in Scotland. Hopefully if the courier/Royal Mail does the business, should be in my eager hot sticky paws on Friday. Wilson
