I am struggling with finding the processing recipe in Capture One 8 that renders the size that is acceptable

on this forum and still maintain quality and sufficient size, I moved recently from LR to C1.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I don't know Capture One, but you can modify a copy of the JPG in the donation-only program Fast Stone. You can control both pixel dimension and the level of JPG quality (the tradeoff between compression and quality). The menu selections are clear, not buried in a vast interface.

So let's see your Q shots!

Give this a try:

Under:

Process Recipe > Basic > (set the following):

Format = JPG

Quality = 84

ICC Profile = sRGB

Resolution = 72 px/in

Scale = Width - 1200 px

Open with = None

Under:

Process Recipe > Metadata

"Un-tick" - Include Rating and Color Tag

"Tick" - Include Copyright (Only if you use a copyright tag)

"Un-tick" - Include GPS Coordinates

"Un-tick" - Include camera Metadata

"Un-tick" - Include all Other

Thanks Big T , that worked after a little fiddling with the size, had to make it a little smaller,

Thanks again

Peter

Hi Charles, Thanks for your suggestion, I am on a Mac , Fast Stone appears to be a Windows program only, wished it was coded for Mac

Thanks

Peter
