Sometimes I'll set the 50mm zoom lines knowing that I have room to spare. I keep the face in the center and then crop to an appropriate size. That way you don't get edge distortion. Setting the 50mm frame and using it as a 50mm, with the advantage that if I miss a shoulder or something, the rest of the 28mm frame is till there. I've had to force myself to do so. The urge to grab a M and a 50mm is still very strong. But it's interting to work with the Q and see how it will perform as a 50mm camera. and? did it work for you ?
