Advertisement Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Hi ynp, Take a look here Adapters S Lens to SL. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

bencoyote Posted October 23, 2015 Share #3 Posted October 23, 2015 Mid 2016. The R adapter will follow in autumn. Any idea why Leica is doing such a slow roll out? An adapter is such a comparatively simple part to design and manufacture and it would allow immediate access to all the old R lenses?
mjh Posted October 23, 2015 Share #4 Posted October 23, 2015 The S adapter is arguably the most complex of the adapters but as to the specifics of Leica’s schedeling of development projects I have no idea. The R-to-L adapter is more complex than the purely mechanical R-to-M adapter but surely not excessively complex. For the time being, adapting R lenses requires stacking the R-to-M and M-to-L adapters.
Linford Posted October 24, 2015 Share #5 Posted October 24, 2015 Are there any anticipated compromises related to using the S lenses on the SL once the adapters are available? Thanks--lt
gautier Posted October 25, 2015 Share #6 Posted October 25, 2015 The R-to-L adapter is more complex than the purely mechanical R-to-M adapter but surely not excessively complex. For the time being, adapting R lenses requires stacking the R-to-M and M-to-L adapters. Unfortunately, for Leica, the availability of an element is not linked to its complexity. Little story: I ordered a M (typ 240) with the M-R adapter on May 2013. The M arrived on July 2013 and the adapter on... March 2014. This adapter (reference 14642) is a mechanical one.
