Draining battery

My new Q (2 weeks old) were today very hot, not able to start up before the battery was removed and inserted again. A fully charged battery is drained after 2 hours without use.

Even when the camera is off, it becomes hot.

Are there any other users have experienced the same problem?

Based on your description, it seems you have a shorted battery,  I suggest locate another battery and test.  I assume the battery you are using is the Leica original?

There are several post as to 3rd party batteries that seem to work fine.  I am using Panasonic and Sigma branded batteries which are the same form factor.

 

If the issue continues with another battery then for sure you will need to return the Q for warranty.
