I had my M8 since 2009.  Since then I have had M9, M-P, M monochrom.  It had its moment of sitting on the shelf for a while.  I used it for Infra-Red and B&W.  Recently I had it remapped for the red-line problem by Leica and it is working well again.  I use it once in a while nowadays.  I still love it.

My M8-2 is still in use alongside an M9. Still delivers excellent images. No plans to let it go or stop using it. I suspect that in time it will be 'revered' in the same way as the M4-2 - a camera produced in the nick of time to help Leica back into photoland.
