platypus Posted August 26, 2015 Share #1  Posted August 26, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) As it's raining today (and was yesterday and the day before) seeking some diversion I decided to attempt to upload a set of multiple images, something I haven't done before. It seems to have worked, postage stamp size though they are.  Meet my new best friend the Shrike Thrush; recently this delightful and strangely chummy little fellow has formed the habit of following me on walks, he hops and  flutters along beside me from tree to tree and even enjoys a bath in the creek while I stand by. He seems oddly pleased by my company, it's really quite disarming!  We became friends-of-convenience through the cold weather this winter as he learnt to come to the back door several times a day for raw minced meat feeds. He has always displayed an unusual level of trust and confidence for a wild bird but this latest trick has taken it to a whole new level.  His name is Pip....anyone who has ever heard the call of a Shrike Thrush will know why.  M9/75 Lux Welcome, dear visitor!
