airscrew Posted August 7, 2015 Share #1 Posted August 7, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) For those of you who are looking for a quick-release plate for the “T” I would like to show my solution. It seems that there is no plate especially for “T” (yet?) available. Universal plates I first found were quite big hiding the battery lever and most of them didn’t have suitable lip or pin to prevent plate turning. Really Right Stuff BPnS-S is designed as an universal plate for small point-and-shoot cameras. Although I couldn’t find its exact dimensions I ordered one thinking that I can always sell it if it won’t fit. But as you can see, it is almost like custom made for “T”. Welcome, dear visitor! Fit and finish is superb and when installed off-axis it goes towards center of gravity and leaves battery lever free to operate. It is also very sturdy when used with Leica table tripod and RRS BH-25 LR ballhead. Word of caution! The lip height is about 2mm and it goes over the touchscreen. If something hits the plate there is possibility that it may crack the Gorilla Glass. One can mill the lip down to 0.8 mm to prevent it touching the screen but I think that it will be just fine as it is if you keep the plate tight so that there is no play on it.
