How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

100mm Summicron is prone to focus error. It is the least consistent S glasses in term of focus accuracy but it also happen to be my most used glass given I almost never use AF, maybe only let AF bring to the ballpark and manual focus.

Even if I were to abandon the S system, I'd think that I'd keep both lenses for use on the SL (and SL2), as they are "that good" and so well priced on the pre-owned market at the moment.

Bokeh of 100cron and 120APO has minor difference, they are both smooth but 120 APO is smoother at same subject project ratio and 100cron has noticeable more blur. Of course 120 can get macro shot done throw away everything in background. If you reach toward minimal distance of 100cron for half body portrait, it show a hint amount of SA which is a desirable rending some after. 120 APO is all sharp and fidelity at that distance.  100cron took big portion of my images shared here simply for three reason, I had S006 and I can make good use of that half stop light, 2nd size and last: for two lens S set up, I usually bring 24 100 or 35 100. 100cron can be stitched to 70mm glass or can be used for family portrait.  There is another reason that I usually have two body setup with one of them S and other either Leica M with 21/50 or RX1(os Sony A7x I had) or Z7 with 24-70. In that sense, no wonder I have lots of 100cron images to show.

The S120 is just so versatile, especially for those having and benefitting from the CS version. Yes, it is larger, but (also) due to the recessed front element a shade isn’t needed most of the time.

Oh yes you are totally right. But am I only thinking that pictures made with the Leica S of such car interiors look like the professional photos made for car companies and marketing?

Finally got to go back to stitch some pan images from a trip to Yosemite.  Here is a shot from just off the parking lot at Glacier Point, you can see Half Dome, Vernal Fall and Nevada Fall from there.  There are many parks in the US I have not gotten visit yet, but this is my favorite so far.
