Ivo: How do you like the HC 100 as an option on the S?  Compared to the Leica S 100 summicron?

Rob

As compared to the S100, I have no idea, Rob. My alternatives are the S120 and C140. All three have different advantages and disadvantages. I really like the focal length of the 100 - and it is my only leaf shutter lens. The offer was too good to pass up. The lens is super sharp when stopped down a little, and works extremely well for portraits. It is also very short in overall length.

If I would have to pick one lens amongst the three options, I would take the 120, because it is the sharpest (by a large margin versus the C140) and the most versatile regarding the close focus distance. Rendering is also fantastic.
